The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) has issued the following guidelines to applicants applying for unemployment benefits:

If your last name begins with letters A THROUGH M, file your claim on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
If your last name begins with letters N THROUGH Z, file your claim on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
If you missed your application window above, file your claim on Saturdays.

If you missed your call window above, call on Fridays (7 a.m. - 6 p.m.) or Saturdays (8 a.m. - 12 p.m.).
To connect those who have lost their jobs due to COVID-19 with employers that are currently hiring, the State of Illinois has created the GetHired IL website. The website provides a place for both job seekers and employers to register, and additional information about upcoming virtual job fairs.

Vehicle Registration, ID Replacement and Other Secretary of State Services
The Illinois Secretary of State is encouraging residents to utilize its online portal, CyberDriveIllinois.com, for the following services:
Renewing a vehicle registration
Obtaining a duplicate driver’s license or ID card
Renewing a driver’s license with the Safe Driver Renewal program
