Scott McMaster has joined the Village of Channahon as the Director of Community Development. A seasoned leader in business development and real estate, Scott is recognized for his ability to create innovative strategies that drive impactful results. His extensive experience in both the private and public sectors has sharpened his leadership skills and facilitated strategic partnerships.
Prior to his role in Channahon, Scott served as the Director of Economic Development for the Village of Oswego and as the Director of Community Development in Crest Hill. In these positions, he utilized his strong negotiation skills to advance mixed-use developments and secure agreements with renowned companies, including Amazon and other national retail brands. His background in various aspects of business development in the private sector has equipped him with a strategic mindset and financial expertise, enabling him to effectively achieve organizational goals.
Scott holds the designation of Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) from Grow America and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma College of Professional and Continuing Studies. In his free time, he actively serves on the board of directors of the Illinois Rock & Roll Museum on Route 66 in Joliet.
