A boil order is in effect beginning immediately for Channahon Public Water Supply customers located in Remington Woods, users on Winchester Drive, Channahon Park and users bounded between Patricia Lane to the West, McClintock Road to the North, Rte. 6 to the South and Jonathon Drive to the East. This is a result of a necessary unscheduled water main repair. Do not drink water from the tap without boiling it first. Bring water to a boil, let it boil 5 minutes, and then let it cool before using, or us bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food until further notice. We will inform you when the boil order is lifted. If your water comes from another source such as a private well, you may disregard this notice.
The boil order will remain in effect as a precaution until water sample test results indicate that the water is safe for consumption. Initial test results are expected in about 48 hours. When the Boil Order is lifted, notification will be made through the Village website (www.channahon.org), Village cable TV channel and signage.
