Improving Air Quality by Managing Odor Complaints
The Channahon Odor Alert Network is an environmental initiative to help identify and resolve nuisance odor problems. This initiative is a collaborative effort between local residents, businesses, industries, and government.
A major obstacle in resolving odor complaints is the ability to quickly investigate the complaint. Through this collaborative effort, officials in Channahon will investigate odor complaints as soon as complaint calls are received. This approach involves businesses, industry and local government voluntarily working together with residents to better manage an environmental problem.
Who to Contact
When residents notice an odor outdoors, they can call the Channahon non-emergency line at 815-467-2112. All odor complaints and complainants will receive a prompt response and the odor complaint will be documented.
