NOTICE OF BOIL WATER ORDER
(10/2/19)
A boil order is in effect beginning 9:30 PM on 10/2/19 for Channahon Public Water Supply customers located (east of I-55. This is a result of a watermain break on the City of Joliet water system supplying Channahon. Do not drink water from the tap without boiling it first. Bring water to a boil, let it boil 5 minutes, and then let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food until further notice. We will inform you when the boil order is lifted. If you know your water comes from another safe source, such as a private well, you may disregard this notice.
The boil order will remain in effect as a precaution until water sample test results indicate that the water is safe for consumption. Initial test results are expected in about 48 hours. When the Boil Order is lifted, notification will be made through the Village website (www.channahon.org), Village cable TV channel, reverse 911 message, and on the Incident Notification Network (815-467-8388)
