Bob Taft, local restaurateur and owner of the popular Joliet establishment Heroes West, is bringing a new dining and entertainment concept to Channahon—Q Bar Channahon. This new venture will combine elements of Taft’s successful Q Bar locations with the casual burgers-and-beer atmosphere of Heroes West, all while incorporating a billiards theme to create a unique community destination.
Taft recently acquired the entire retail center at 23842 W. Eames Street, adjacent to the Manor Motel. His vision is to fully occupy and revitalize the center, which has faced long-standing challenges with tenant retention. Notably, the well-loved Taco Burrito King will remain in operation as part of the center’s transformation.
In addition to Q Bar Channahon and Taco Burrito King, the revitalized plaza is expected to include at least two additional businesses, which are currently in lease negotiations. This comprehensive redevelopment represents a significant investment in the area and aims to breathe new life into a historically underutilized retail space.
Q Bar Channahon is slated to open in October 2025. For more information, visit www.qbarchannahon.com.
